PARIS

Sandro was born in Paris, in the Sentier district. After twenty years of existence, the brand opened its first standalone boutique in 2004, on Rue Vieille-du-Temple, in the heart of the Marais. Even today, Paris remains the epicentre of Sandro, with its iconic headquarters located on Boulevard Haussmann. Bathed in light, this private building is both the beating heart and soul of the Maison, a place where everything converges, where ideas spring forth, and where creative momentum is built. Sandro's identity is deeply rooted in this city, and Paris remains a constant source of inspiration for the creative studios.

Inspiration

The streets of Paris are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Sandro's creative forces. Art, music, and design are all realms of expression that the teams draw on every day to shape the aesthetic of the Sandro wardrobe. A constant dialogue between urban culture and timeless elegance fuels its stylistic flair.

Internationalisation

While Sandro remains deeply rooted in Paris, its influence extends far beyond the capital's borders. Now present in 54 countries with over 750 points of sale, Sandro sets up shop in iconic neighbourhoods, where fashion is expressed with strength and character. With each new opening, a fragment of the Parisian soul is exported, a subtle balance of urban sophistication, free-spirited creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. A way of life that crosses borders, without ever betraying its roots.

Flagship Les Champs-Élysées

Paris holds a unique place in Sandro's history and identity. It was therefore natural for its most iconic flagship to come to life there, on the world's most famous avenue. Opened in 2022 at 91 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, this signature address embodies Parisian elegance at its most contemporary. Designed by the architectural firm Studio Haos and Atelier Franck Durand - two key players on the French creative and design scene - this luminous setting reveals a sun-drenched minimalism. Concrete on the floor, wood on the ceiling, and brick on the walls create a clean and sensory backdrop, true to the Maison's understated aesthetic.

BEHIND THE SCENES

BOULEVARD HAUSSMANN

The headquarters is located in Paris on Boulevard Haussmann, and is home to the womenswear and menswear design studios, as well as an integrated workshop where artisans create the prototypes for the ready-to-wear and accessories collections, and Sandro's special projects.

The studios

Sandro's creative direction is led by a close-knit family duo: Evelyne Chetrite, the founder of the House, has been designing the women's wardrobe for four decades, while her son, Ilan Chetrite, creates the men's line. Each works within their own studio, with their own unique approach and sensibility, but always guided by the same keen eye on the times. Their creative dialogue ensures harmony between the two worlds. They are surrounded by a team of talented individuals who share this same high standard to build a contemporary and resolutely Parisian Sandro silhouette.

The Atelier

Just a few steps from the design studios, the first floor of the headquarters is home to a precious space: the prototyping workshop. More than twenty artisans - pattern makers, pattern cutters and cutters - work here with meticulous care, surrounded by an army of machines, toiles and fabrics.
Every stage, from pattern-making to perfecting the designs, is masterfully handled with exacting standards before entering production. It's an approach that echoes the brand's heritage, rooted in the Sentier, the Parisian district where the art of garment-making is passed down from one generation to the next.

These artisans embody Sandro's other driving force: an essential craftsmanship that, season after season, shapes the style and silhouettes of the House.

ART AND SANDRO

From its very beginnings, Sandro has woven an intimate bond with the world of art, convinced that fashion and art share a common language — that of emotion, expression, and vision.

Through collaborations with artists from diverse backgrounds, Sandro affirms its desire to build bridges between disciplines and to open up sensitive, contemporary dialogues.
Fashion thus becomes a vehicle for transmission, a space for exchange where art is made more accessible, revealing emerging talents or previously unknown dimensions of a work.

These encounters enrich the brand's identity and give life to profoundly unique projects, born at the intersection of different perspectives.

Louise Bourgeois – Spring/Summer 2025

For this exclusive capsule collection, Sandro pays tribute to Louise Bourgeois, a major figure in 20th-century contemporary art.

While her monumental sculptures are recognised worldwide, it is her textile work — intimate, instinctive, and imbued with memory — that has resonated deeply with the world of Sandro.

Inspired by her spirals and patchworks made from deconstructed garments, Evelyne Chetrite has revisited this approach with a collection of fluid and natural pieces that evoke the movement and whirlwind of life.

Through this collaboration, Sandro wanted to offer exclusive and unique creations, embodying both a confident artisanal craftsmanship and a strong connection to art and its creators.

Musée Bourdelle – Autumn/Winter 2025

For Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025, Sandro took over an iconic venue on the Parisian art scene: the Musée Bourdelle.

The House made its home in the Great Hall of Plasters, a majestic space imbued with the artist's soul.

Through a scenography conceived jointly with Atelier Franck Durand, Sandro orchestrated an encounter between fashion and sculpture.

The women's and men's collections entered into a dialogue with the monumental works of Antoine Bourdelle, creating an interplay of resonance between sculpted forms and stylistic perspectives.

Olga Sabko – Autumn/Winter 2024

For the presentation of its Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, Sandro highlighted the work of Ukrainian ceramic artist Olga Sabko. Her organically shaped sculptures were placed in an intimate setting, designed as a precious case in perfect harmony with the spirit of the collection. Some of her works were also exhibited in selected stores, notably at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris.

Louis Barthélemy – Spring/Summer 2023 & 2024

Sandro has teamed up with artist and illustrator Louis Barthélemy to create a radiant capsule collection, celebrating Morocco and its rich craftsmanship.

His vibrant illustrations, inspired by scenes from daily Moroccan life, delicately adorn lightweight silk and cotton pieces: shirts, t-shirts, shorts and trousers become canvases for expression.

In 2023, this collaboration took on a socially conscious dimension with the creation of a bucket bag in natural straw and leather, the result of a partnership with the Doum for Women cooperative. More than just an accessory, this meaningful piece has supported rural Moroccan women while championing ancestral skills.

Garance Vallée – Spring/Summer 2022

For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, Sandro commissioned artist and architect Garance Vallée to design the scenography for its window displays. She created a series of sculptural modules combining wood, plaster, steel and resin, subtly playing on the contrast between raw textures and refined finishes. In a palette of natural shades – beige, ochre, brown and white – her installations established a harmonious dialogue between art and architecture, perfectly resonating with Sandro's clean and minimalist universe.

Stephen Ormandy – Spring/Summer 2021 & 2022

For the reopening of its rue Saint-Honoré boutique in May 2021, Sandro unveiled a new concept designed in collaboration with the Festen agency, where art took centre stage.

The colourful resin sculptures of Australian artist Stephen Ormandy were given pride of place: his playful and organic totems punctuated the space, from the window displays to the heart of the store.

Some pieces, created as a limited edition especially for the occasion, were also offered for sale. In 2022, this artistic dialogue was extended with a window display entirely dedicated to the artist, thereby strengthening the link between customer experience and creative immersion.

Yuko Nishikawa – Spring/Summer 2021

For summer 2021, Sandro initiated an artistic, ecological and solidarity-focused project by collaborating with Japanese artist Yuko Nishikawa.

Known for her dreamlike hanging sculptures, she designed a series of mobiles made from recycled papier-mâché – Beans, Pinecones, Umbrellas – handcrafted from reclaimed paper, inks and metal wire.

Installed in the windows of several boutiques around the world, these light and airy works were also offered for sale on 1stDibs.

All profits were donated to the Rainforest Alliance, highlighting Sandro's commitment to responsible and solidarity-focused creation.

Clara Luciani – Autumn/Winter 2020

In October 2020, Sandro unveiled an exclusive capsule collection in collaboration with the singer and artist Clara Luciani.

Comprising 30 ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, this collection reflected the artist's unique style, delicately blending influences from the 1960s and 1970s with an assertive modernity.

The emblematic pieces – high-waisted flared trousers, silk shirts, sleeveless waistcoats, and long printed dresses – came to embody a relaxed and timeless elegance, true to Clara Luciani's distinctive world.
